Kingswood pedestrian and cycling consultation survey

We would like to hear your thoughts on the proposed improvements to walking and cycling in Kingswood.The scheme proposes to deliver a series of improvements which will improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians and wheelchair users. We would also like to introduce short stretches of new cycle lanes which would connect Kingswood with other quiet road cycle routes and on into Bristol.The proposals, which would be <span data-ccp-charstyle="textspan_1" data-ccp-charstyle-defn='{"ObjectId":"24e8cd55-5146-4aaa-bd08-a47818195d03|107","ClassId":1073872969,"Properties":[469775450,"textspan_1",201340122,"1",134233614,"true",469778129,"textspan1",335572020,"1",469778324,"Default Paragraph Font"]}'>fully funded by Active Travel England, include the following:&nbsp;👍 A new cycling route to Kingswood High Street along A420 Cecil Road and Halls Road,&nbsp;👍 A new quiet road route through School Road and Britannia Road to link up with schemes in Bristol,&nbsp;👍 A series of improved crossings and footway widening in and around the Kingswood area designed to improve pedestrian safety and open up accessibility for everyone.&nbsp;For a full list of the proposals and further information, you can download the PDF below:

The project team is grateful to the local people who shared their views via the engagement work completed from November until December 2023 on proposed pedestrian and cycling improvements in and around Kingswood.This showed overall support for the measures.&nbsp;The report linked below summarises the findings of the survey and <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=15Tt4VOHByeKwpJhSs8_o8ermQSFmpMg&ll=51.46488088432022%2C-2.5013755499999957&z=14" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this map</a> plots comments which relate to specific locations where people have highlighted potential improvements or concerns.
